Garrett is an Associate at Pickering Energy Partners people-consulting & Advocacy group, focusing on private sponsors, companies, public issuers, and asset managers across the traditional energy value chain and renewables spaces. He advises on the accretion of sustainability profiles through quantitative and qualitative disclosure, increasing access to capital, markets, and partners. He also authors the people-consulting & Advocacy group’s monthly newsletter and contributes to the Energy Workforce & Technology Council’s industry news coverage.

Before Pickering Energy Partners, Garrett worked in Nasdaq's Strategic Capital Intelligence group, advising public energy, healthcare, and TMT clients on shareholder targeting/retention, activist defense, proxy development, and capital market trends. He also created and authored the group’s bi-weekly newsletter, which discussed developments in investor relations, and published thought leadership on sell-side conferences.

Before Nasdaq, Garrett worked at KPMG, focusing on bank, VC, and hedge fund assurance.

EXAMPLES OF RECENT WORK INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: 

  • Customized a set of material sustainability-focused quantitative & qualitative disclosures aimed at securing debt underwriting for a private thermal coal company
  • Designed and implemented sustainability reporting infrastructure to secure and maintain sustainability-linked financing for a public small-cap oilfield services company
  • Performance transformation of a private offshore E&P company, including performance improvement and strategy
  • Enhanced sustainability rating scores of public onshore E&P

Garrett has vast expertise and knowledge in oil and gas, onshore/offshore E&P, oilfield services & equipment, public & private capital markets, sustainability reporting, ratings, narrative crafting, and U.S. & EU public regulatory reporting requirements.
