Marketing Associate
Position Description
Pickering Energy Partners (PEP) is seeking a talented and motivated Marketing Associate to join our team in Houston, TX. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the firm’s marketing strategy, execution, and growth in the energy financial services sector. The Marketing Associate will work with the firm’s President and Director of Investor Relations and Operations to support branding, communications and business development efforts and by creating impactful content, managing campaigns, coordinating events and maintaining sales pipeline/prospect tracking in the firm’s CRM to drive revenue across PEP’s lines of business.
The ideal candidate will have two to five years of experience raising capital in the investment management space including public and private equity strategies or private banking and feel comfortable engaging with clients/prospects, doing proactive initial outreach to grow pipelines and managing CRM tracking for all prospect engagement. Salesforce experience, including familiarity with CRM administration to enhance field tracking and reporting is a strong plus.
Primary Responsibilities
- CRM Administration, Fund Tracking and Pipeline Management
- Manage Administration of CRM (Salesforce) to enhance layout and field tracking to capture relevant fields for PEP’s lines of business and facilitate actionable reporting.
- Engage with Senior Management across PEP’s lines of business to refine CRM page layouts, reporting and dashboards.
- Track fundraising activity, ensuring accurate and up-to-date reporting.
- Work ongoing project to enhance CRM, integrating external data sources to build quality data on potential prospects avoiding duplicate Accounts and Contacts and automate business processes with CRM as central hub of data (pipelines, client data, event and campaign tracking).
- Leverage CRM reporting to provide Senior Leadership concise reports for meeting prep with relevant notes and data on prospect or client.
- Client / Prospect Engagement
- Proactively reach out as needed to potential prospects where PEP does not have an existing relationship to grow pipelines, round out meetings for roadshows and drive future business.
- Join Senior Leaders as needed in client/prospect meetings, taking detailed notes for CRM tracking.
- Content Development
- Create and manage marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, email campaigns, and social media posts.
- Maintain and update website content to ensure alignment with brand and business goals.
- Campaign Management
- Plan and implement marketing campaigns to support business development and brand awareness.
- Analyze campaign performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations.
- Event Coordination
- Assist in organizing and promoting events such as conferences, client engagements, and webinars.
- Design promotional materials and manage logistics for successful event execution.
- Brand Stewardship
- Ensure consistency in messaging and brand identity across all communication channels.
- Monitor industry trends and competitors to identify opportunities and guide strategy on outreach and engagement.
- Analytics and Reporting
- Utilize analytics tools to measure the success of marketing initiatives.
- Conduct market research and deliver insights to support strategic decision-making.
Specific Qualifications
- Marketing Expertise
- Demonstrated experience with marketing tools and strategies, including social media management, content creation, and campaign execution, preferably in the investment management space. Energy experience is a plus but not required.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
- Ability to effectively communicate with Senior Management with accurate, concise reporting.
- Ability to interact with clients and prospects maintaining PEP’s high standards of professionalism.
