PEP's Consulting & Advocacy team emphasizes data-driven decision-making in addressing energy policy, advocating for an energy "expansion" that includes all sources to meet increasing future demand and ensure reliable, sustainable, and affordable power amidst severe weather disruptions.

PEP’s Consulting & Advocacy team prides itself on allowing empirical data to lead decision making.  With that in mind, remaining pragmatic at a time when severe weather events are disrupting power grids and thus, our basic human needs are of critical importance.

This thought leadership piece focuses on current policy and its impact upon electricity consumption. Specifically, the increase in future energy demand driven by technological advancement will continue to force the term energy “transition” over to the sideline while focusing on the inherent need for an energy “expansion.” This expansion will rely upon ALL sources of energy, primarily driven by hydrocarbons, to ensure that our power grids provide reliable, sustainable, and affordable energy for all citizens.
