Webcast: PEP Perspective from Industry Veterans - Reported ExxonMobil for Pioneer Potential Deal

Join Josh Martin as he interviews Osmar Abib and Dan Pickering on their thoughts regarding the potential merger and any knock-on impacts across the industry.

Thursday evening, the Wall Street Journal reported that ExxonMobil and Pioneer Natural Resources are close to announcing a merger. This was the second time that the Journal had reported on a potential merger between the two companies. This potential deal could rank as the 3rd largest transaction since 1995 (based on the reported valuation), only behind Exxon acquisition of Mobil and Shell acquisition of BG Group. Given the significance and size of this potential transaction, we thought it would be helpful to visit with Osmar Abib, PEP Advisory Board Member and former Chairman of Global Energy for Credit Suisse. Osmar brings a wealth of experience to these situations, given his long history of advising some of the largest energy companies in the world.
