Marcelo Laprea brings over 18 years of experience, spanning technical energy investment banking advising clients across upstream, midstream, and minerals sectors as well as direct experience with E&P operators, with a focus on reservoir engineering, asset valuations and field development planning.

As Managing Director at Pickering Energy Partners (PEP), Marcelo leads the engineering and technical efforts for the advisory team, providing support across M&A and A&D transactions, with a track record of more than $50 billion in transactions.

Before joining PEP, Marcelo served as Technical Lead at Intrepid Financial Partners, and previously at Barclays Capital overseeing and performing technical analyses across mandates.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.
